They are friendly and low stress, it really is a family run business. Exotic lumber like rosewood and bubinga, zebrawood and lacewood are in stock. Best lumber yard, ever.

Message: This company continually delights. I’ve placed about a dozen orders over the years. The cuts are always generous and well selected. They’ll go out of their way to get you the material you need. Service is top notch.

Message: Drove up from Cincinnati-ish because I heard good things about this place compared to the more local lumber vendors. As a hobby woodworker, here's my take:. Best wood selection of anyplace local. They've got all of the typical hardwoods in good quantities, and more. Good staff, they were helpful in pointing me to what I was looking for and offered help that I didn't need to ask for, while also being non-intrusive. Better prices than the other places. The cat likes to be pet, and there was a big poodle waltzing around outside. Working my own 9-5 I can only get there while they're open on Saturdays, but that's pretty standard for this type of business anyway, just have to plan my projects with that schedule in mind.

Message: This is an amazing place for wood and carpenters, great selection, awesome staff, I'll be returning regularly :-).

Message: I am legit getting to a point where I plan to use Muterspaw as my primary lumber supplier, and only use other dealers if I want something they don't have. I've bought red elm, flame birch, and curly maple heartwood from them, and all three times, when I opened the package, my eyebrows went up and I was pleasantly very surprised by how beautiful the wood I was looking at was. Will definitely continue to buy from them! My bedside table is their flame birch, and my living room table is largely their red elm.

Message: We dropped in looking for a board to add to our panel wall for a bit of color. We were blown away by the quantity/quality/diversity of woods available. Primarily domestic but there is a substantial amount of African and Latin American lumber. The store is well-known, just looking at the shipping labels for wood being fedexed out to places like Rhode Island, Virginia, California, etc. The house is beautiful and the grounds are truly God's country. The Purple Heart (Brazil) and Purple Poplar are just stunning. When our wall is finished, the one plank from inner Africa that we purchased in SW Ohio is going to be conversation piece.

Message: Ordered 60bf of QS sapele at a good price. Cut lengths to order at no charge, and got here fast. The boards are beautiful. Good to seem them live up to their reputation.

Message: A great place to buy hardwood lumber! Outstanding selection and quality. If you enjoy woodworking and live anywhere near them, you owe it to yourself to go check them out. I'm bummed that I live so far away.
